Is this the worst restaurant in the Middle East

As a really very large number of my regulars know I wrote a book recently called ‘The Cat’s Travelogue’ and it has been selling like cakes fresh from the oven (thank you all for that).

In my latest masterpiece of feline literature I tell the (mostly) true story of my adventures encountered as I adventured around our little planet and of the fun I had there.

One of the places that I visited but was encouraged (with large sums of the folding stuff) not to mention was that builder of tall buildings, bastion of human rights and electoral freedom Qatar.

I think that the royal family of Qatar wanted to keep my visit to their little country off the record because unless you have shed loads of cash, and that means being related to the royals there, your life is pretty awful. You can, if you want to, read all about the repression there in other places I don’t need to cut and paste that nonsense into my blog do I?

All I will say is that while you can, if you have the cash, live in seven luxury in Doha the capital of Qatar most of those annoying people who complain all the time that the oily cash which belongs to the country and could do so much good of the majority just gets stuffed into the pockets of only a few, leaving the majority to eat at places like the one below.

Qatar s Worst Restaurant

Not a very appetising prospect is it?

Kate Masks© – the latest craze to sweep the planet

I don’t know if you saw the cover of Hello magazine this week? (If you didn’t I have added it below). I did, on a book stand in Berlin and I was rather surprised to see the person walking a rather nice Black Spaniel was wearing a Kate Mask©.

At first I thought that the good people of Hello magazine had been using photoshop but on closer inspection I don’t think they did, still I compensated for that below tee hee.

The reason why I thought Hello magazine had been a photoshoping was firstly the rather odd fixed stare of the over sized face under the hat and on the cover and secondly because Kate Masks© are in very short supply as this is a Jubilee year and no one in their right mind wants to wear a queen mask©.

Kate Mask

As you can see in the next snap I am so pleased that I was able to get hold of a few very rare Kate Masks© and join in the latest craze becoming a look-a-like for princess Cindy or is her name ‘The Duchess’ I forget!

My Kate Mask

If you don’t want to be left out of the most amazing craze since Planking then do drop me a line I have a few Kate Masks© reserved for my closest friends and if you are prepared to outbid them then a Kate Mask© will be posted to you immediately after your cheque, credit card or money order has cleared.

Qatar Mask 2

Honestly though I urge you to act fast because already I have has several UK cabinet ministers, some US senators and indeed a very close aid to the royal families of both Saudi Arabia and Qatar contacting me enquiring about availability of Kate Masks©.

Well this is a very special year for the British royal family of course, the queen will have been living in a life of luxury at the taxpayers expense and taking protracted exotic holidays for what seems like forever so this year the nation and indeed the rest of the world want to congratulate her on getting away with it for so long and what better way to do that than with a finely crafted (so long as you cut it out neatly) Kate Mask©?

Just a thought from a caring Cat!

What a shame that being married to a royal and having to exist in ‘that’ family has turned the good looking young woman (below) into the one above! Do you think she needs counselling? You have to ask yourself what is she going to look like after a couple of kids, having to deal with all the nannies and servants will be tiring and if her husband turns out to be the same sort of git as her father in law then she is going to be worn to a frazzle or less.

Israel Snubs Both The King Of Qatar and Me In The Same Week

You know I know just how the poor old corpulent and caring King of Qatar must be feeling after his very generous (this Cat thought) offer of paying to rebuild all sorts of bits of Palestine that the Israelis knocked down and blew up recently was rejected by the Israeli Prime Minister, and that rejection was odd because at first he sounded interested in taking the money – quite naturally of course, free money these days is hard to come by isn’t it?

KoQ.jpg

Just think, if the Prime Minister had said “no thanks” to the American’s offer of paying for a missile shield, the average American tax payer, who quite rightly, has no interest in building a missile shield in that part of the Middle East would be just a little less financially hard pressed currently.

Actually I too have been trying to do my bit for peace in the world and recently spent a not inconsiderable amount of my ‘hard earned’ paying for translations of the Koran into Yiddish and the Torah into Arabic ready for the newly translated versions to be distributed to the warring fractions of the Middle East only to be told to shove them “somewhere dark!”

Forgive this simple Cat and the large and learned monarch of Qatar for believing that by being kind we could both show people that there is a better way other than violence. Not only that if the Israelis didn’t like what the money was spent on they could soon get rid of it couldn’t they with a few well placed as well as some disastrously place missiles aren’t they always blowing up something or someone in Palestine anyway?.

Frankly I don’t get it do you? The chubby and jovial King of Qatar and The Cat offering Israelis something for nothing and they turn it down, I think it goes against the religion doesn’t it?
